The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) recently announced the list of approved College Student Research Projects. Feng Chia University ranked sixth nationwide in the number of approved projects, with an acceptance rate exceeding 50%, demonstrating strong academic and research capabilities as well as interdisciplinary talent cultivation. This program is the most important undergraduate research platform in Taiwan, not only fostering students’ independent thinking and research abilities but also deepening faculty-student collaboration and the campus research atmosphere. At Feng Chia, these achievements are never accidental, but the result of teachers’ long-term guidance and support.

Feng Chia University held its first-ever “University-wide Freshman Project Competition” in 2025, guiding new students to immerse themselves in a CDIO learning environment centered on “learning by doing, doing by learning” from their very first day on campus. The project courses, held from September 2 to 3, featured outstanding teams from each department, who continued to refine their projects in their spare time. The final results exhibition was held at Virtuosi Hall from September 23 to 26, attracting over a thousand faculty and students for observation and exchange.

Feng Chia University continues to promote deep industry-academia connections. On September 23, the university signed industry-academia cooperation memoranda of understanding with Farglory Construction, Farglory Engineering, and Farglory Real Estate at Virtuosi Hall. This is the first time that Feng Chia University has adopted a “three-in-one signing” approach, simultaneously collaborating with the three major sectors of construction, engineering, and real estate, establishing a brand-new model for talent cultivation and industry development. In the future, the focus of cooperation will include student internships, industry experts teaching courses, corporate employee training, faculty support for project research, as well as jointly organizing professional activities and project collaborations. Through a multi-level cooperation framework, students will not only be able to accumulate project experience in advance, but also closely align their learning process with industry development trends.

The 2025 Taiwan Artificial Intelligence Annual Conference was held on September 9-10 at the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Academia Sinica, gathering over 1,500 elites from industry, government, academia, and research sectors to jointly discuss "Taiwan's AI Competitiveness." During the conference, Feng Chia University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan AI Academy Foundation (AIA), becoming the central certification unit of AIA Taiwan AI Academy. Both parties completed the signing at the event and will jointly launch the "AI Industry Talent Competency Certification Program."

The 2025 Freshman Growth Camp "Hello World!" opening ceremony was held in two lively sessions at the Sports Center, marking a brand new chapter in university life. The Hot Dance Club, Melody Guitar Club, Pop Music Club, and Dalan Reunion Club took turns performing, while Kahoot! interactive games ignited the freshmen's enthusiasm. The Club Expo was held for the first time in Virtuosi Hall, with 70 student clubs gathering together and nearly 4,000 freshmen exploring and discovering the diverse charms of each club.
